Cyclist seriously injured in Penticton hit and run

A woman riding in a group of cyclists Sunday morning in Penticton fell off her bicycle and was hit by pickup truck.

The woman was riding south on Government Street at around 10:45 a.m., April 29, falling off her bike at Carmi Avenue, according to an RCMP media release.

She was struck by a late model mid-sized pickup truck with a logo on it.

The driver didn’t stop and continued driving south on Government Street.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are looking for witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam video of the hit and run.
