OLIVER - A man fleeing from the Lower Mainland, and wanted on a Canada wide warrant for attempted murder, made it as far as Oliver today.

Thomas Brydges, 73, was arrested today without incident, May 29, when an Oliver RCMP officer recognized the suspect from a bulletin issued by Langley police following an incident in that city.

Langley RCMP say officers were called to an Aldergrove RV Park yesterday where they found a man and woman severely injured. The woman remains in critical condition while the man could be released from hospital today.

Brydges fled the area on a black, 2005 Honda VT6 motorcycle, according to an RCMP media release, and Corrections Canada issued a Canada wide warrant describing Brydges as extremely violent.

Brydges' motorcycle has been towed to Oliver and he is under investigation for attempted murder, police say.
