Trucks are stuck in the snow or are chaining up tires on Trans-Canada Highway near Salmon Arm, causing delays.

Traffic is backed up eastbound 10 km from Kault Hill, 4 km east of Tappen, to 30th Street in Salmon Arm, according to a release from DriveBC.

DriveBC advises travellers to expect a 30 minute delay.

North Okanagan, including Vernon, Shuswap, and North Thompson are expected to get up to 10 cm of snow this afternoon easing into flurries overnight, according to a release from Environment Canada.

Environment Canada cautions travellers to expect quickly changing and worsening driving conditions.
